However\, it’s often avoided\, delayed\, or poorly received. In this interactive session\, participants will explore evidence-based strategies for giving clear\, respectful\, and growth-oriented feedback. We’ll address common pitfalls\, discuss feedback across power dynamics\, and offer practical tools to support psychological safety while holding others accountable. Designed for healthcare professionals in leadership\, teaching\, or team-based roles\, this session aims to build confidence in having feedback conversations that drive learning and connection. \nThis session will be led by Drs. Giana Davidson (Interim Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs) and Addie McClintock (Director\, Teaching Scholars Program).

DESCRIPTION:Transforming Your Career is a one-day\, in-person\, professional development workshop for UW School of Medicine faculty using Design Thinking. \nThis workshop was created for faculty who might be considering new directions\, different responsibilities\, feel “stuck”\, or are exploring transitioning into a next phase of their career. Participants will leave with clear goals\, several visions of their next steps\, experiments to test their initial ideas\, and a framework to keep their career moving forward. \nThis June 17\, 2026 session is geared toward faculty who are considering succession plans and/or are 2-10 years from retirement. \nApply here
