Building a Successful Academic Career: Learning When to Say No and When to Say Yes
In this session you will hear from a faculty leader who struggled with saying no early in her career. In addition to sharing her experience Dr. Goff will provide guidance for faculty who may have similar struggles. Participants will learn to critically evaluate professional opportunities, as well as consider when having the courage to say no could lead to more productive and satisfying careers as faculty members.
