If you are looking towards retirement, the University of Washington has information for faculty that includes benefits, checklists, presentations, and more. We provide information for faculty at UW, UW Physicians, and Children’s University Medical Group. Additionally, the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems is an important resource with additional checklists and items to guide you as you plan your retirement.

Upcoming Workshops

Transforming Your Career (later career)

Transforming Your Career is a one-day in-person, professional development workshop using Design Thinking. Our June 17, 2026 session will focus on faculty who are in later career stages, including transitions across leadership roles, considering retirement in 2-10 years, and exploring new professional paths. Participants will leave with clear goals, several visions of their next steps, experiments to test their initial ideas, and a framework to move forward to the next chapter of their career. While financial considerations will be addressed, this is not a financial planning workshop.

The June 2026 course is full but please look for next year’s session announcement in the coming months.
