All events will be by Zoom unless otherwise indicated. Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA) and Center for Leadership and Innovation in Medical Education (CLIME) events for July 2022-June 2023 are not CME accredited at this time but are offered through the CME platform for continuity with other professional development opportunities.
To register, you will be prompted to create an account in the CME platform if you don’t already have one. This year’s Faculty Affairs and CLIME events are not CME accredited, but your registration will ensure you receive emails, calendar, and Zoom information about each event. Creating Your Teaching Portfolio
March 3 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 amFree
This event is open to UW School of Medicine faculty only.
A teaching portfolio is required for regular UW School of Medicine faculty (lecturers, assistant professors and associate professors) who are being considered for promotion. The teaching portfolio is a critical document in the promotion review process, particularly at the school and provost levels. The portfolio represents your teaching record and is used to assess the quality and value of teaching and mentoring interactions with students, residents, fellows, practicing physicians, and other professionals.
Dr. Andy Luks (Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine) will discuss the main components of a teaching portfolio and provide guidance and advice on how to create yours as you prepare for your promotion.
Zoom information will be sent within the week prior to the event to those registered. For those unable to attend, we will post materials and a recording of the event to our website afterward.
